Road to the glory – Part2 The paralel between the colombia's road to the world cup and the life of Radamel Falcao Garcia

Tenth match (vs. Uruguay, October 11th 2016)

With a team full of new and young players like Yerri Mina, Colombia rescued an important draw in the last minutes of the match against a tactically strong team. Falcao was in the last stage of his full recovery in his team, Monaco.

Eleventh match (vs. Chile, November 10th, 2016)

In another game in Barranquilla, Colombia couldn’t win against Chile, and the chances to assist to the world cup decreased. Falcao was back since October 2015, but he couldn’t score for the team.

Twelfth match (vs. Argentina, November 15th, 2016)

Although falcao was in the initials team, Argentina surpassed us in all the lines, and Colombia fell defeated 3-0. It wasn’t the best reception for “El Tigre de Santa Marta”.

Thirteenth match (vs. Bolivia, March 23th, 2017)

The Colombian team has an important match against a defensive team like Bolivia; James Rodriguez scored the winning goal in the last part of the match. Falcao wasn’t called for these eliminatory matches because of a muscle injury.

Fourteenth match (vs. Ecuador, March 28th, 2017)

Our team visited a historically complicated selection in Quito, but after a great performance, the team earned valuable three points. Falcao wasn’t called for these eliminatory matches because of a muscle injury.

Fifteenth match (vs. Venezuela, August 31st, 2017)

In a really fought match, and without our best player James Rodriguez, the team obtained an important tie, Falcao was in the starting team but he missed a clear goal option versus the Venezuela´s goalkeeper Wuilker Fariñez.

Sixteenth match (vs. Brazil, September 5th, 2017)

Back in the Metropolitano of Barranquilla, the team had to obtain at least one point, we started losing in the first half, but with a really great goal of Radamel Falcao Garcia, we draw the match and the stadium went crazy with the goal of the idol.

Seventeenth match (vs. Paraguay, October 5th, 2017)

It was the match of the classification, the stadium was full and with the Falcao’s goal in the minute 80 all the people was crazy, but in the last minutes, for two defensive fails, Paraguay scored two goals and Colombia lost an incredible game.

Eighteenth match (vs. Peru, October 10th, 2017)

Against Peru the team played the most important game in three years, Peru was a difficult team because they were also fighting the classification for the world cup, but the Colombian team obtained a draw in Lima and with the combination of the other results, Colombia was classified for the world cup in Russia, and Falcao fulfilled his dream.
